The Blob

SYNOPSIS:

The Blob (1958) is a classic science-fiction horror film about a mysterious, amoeba-like alien creature that arrives on Earth via a meteorite. The creature begins consuming everything in its path, growing larger with each victim it engulfs. The story follows a young couple, Steve (played by Steve McQueen in his first starring role) and Jane, who witness the Blob’s terrifying behavior and try to warn the townspeople. At first, no one believes them, but soon the Blob grows into an uncontrollable menace, threatening the entire town. The movie showcases themes of disbelief, community, and youthful heroism as the characters try to find a way to stop the ever-growing creature.
